Don't think you would want to be staying in a tent this time of year here with below zero temps. But the heated barn with the Vulturines stays at 60 some degrees. It's almost warmer than the old house we live in.

Yes we have 2 breeding groups of Vulturines; and I am hoping to setup another group for breeding.

They are NOT cold hardy, ours go into heated buildings when they weather starts to get down to freezing in the fall.

We have leased ours out for the last few years to zoos for the summer, BUT this year we are planning on keeping the breeding groups at home to focus on raising more.

I have moved around over the years, the last move from Wisconsin to South Dakota has been in process for 2 years. I always keep some animals at my parents place in Wisconsin were I grew up, because the farm is in the city limits and we are grandfathered in for keeping livestock in town. We have about 30 acres there which is mostly fenced with 8 foot deer fence.

Here in South Dakota, my partner has a few hunderd acres, but we operate about 2000 acres, which is 2/3 pasture with the balance in crop land. We are renovating my partner's family homestead which is starting to take shape.

Not sure how many animals we have! but I can tell you when one is missing.
