Just out of curiosity. Do you have any problems with predators? If so how do you deal with these? Seems like so many chickens would be a tempting target! Really enjoyed the pictures.

what kind of roosters do you have with your hens? do you sell your eggs for hatching???

We still wash eggs essentially by hand and with a homemade washer modeled after the Incredible Egg Washer you can buy online. I wish we could afford a Aquamagic Egg Washer but even the used ones go for to much. We candle with a hand held candling light.
Our roosters are mutts just to warn the hens of danger. We don't sell hatching eggs.

WOW So many chickens... I was wondering-- with so many chickens, how do you feed them? I mean, I just buy fifty-pound feed sacks from the feed store, but do you get your feed in wholesale?
