I was thinking that too because #2 seems to be getting pretty pink on his comb in comparison.
Does Peepers look sick to you?

I don't see blood but it is a tad watery. Do you think it might be worms? If so what can I worm her with? I can't find DE anywhere local yet or else I'd use that.

Man alive I hate El paso, no TSC here. The only feed stores are super small and not well stocked. I'm going to call the feed stores around town and see who carries it or something similar.

I had one of those and it seemed slow and tired to and eventually it just layed there like it was alsleep and died during the night It was about 2 weeks old then.

I have some Lavender Americauna chicks, 8 weeks old tomorrow, and it's funny--their combs are all different. One is obviously a rooster, and the others I go back and forth on. I think I have at least 2 pullets, but not sure because a wide comb is supposed to be a good indicator, but the two with wider combs have the smallest combs and no wattles. I posted them to get guesses as to sex, and was told that the roo and the other one I thought was a roo had the wrong type of combs and were probably a throwback. Everyone agreed that the obvious roo was just that, but that was the only concensus.
These pics were taken at 7 weeks. First is Tweet (with a friend) and I'm sure she's a pullet. Next is the roo, Stanley, with one of the others in the background--some distortion because he's closer the camera, but he really is a lot bigger than any of the other three. Next is Sterling with the more developed comb (though I'm told wrong type for the breed) and hint of a wattle, then Stanley's headshot, then Violet. Sterling and Violet are the ones in question. To me, yours both look like pullets.
