Alto is beautiful!!
Almost forgot to look at him, with all that greenery you gott gong on.
16" snow on Mon-Tues, and 4" this am, fortunately it is all of 28°, instead of 0°.

Thanks for the glimpse of spring, Minx! When do you get eggs?????

So pretty!!! I want a peacock so bad..but my mom says no because we don't have enough room for any because we have so many animals (as you can see in my signature)! But I love seeing pictures! He is really really pretty!

Oh my gosh you do have a lot of animals! 13 horses! Wow yeah we have plenty of room because all we have is a little dog and 10 peafowl and then we keep the peafowl at my Grandma's 2 miles from our house so that is how I am able to have peafowl. We could keep them at our house but there are too many neighbors around our house for free-ranging.

Cool! I have went to a petting zoo before (which is surprising because we have enough animals that we could almost have one!) and loved the peafowl and took plenty of pictures of them!

He is awsome! Such a great picture subject

If you guys don't mind I have some questions...
If peas are hand raised will they be nice. Do they like people in general(how timid) ? Do peas lay eggs every day? Are they the size of ostrich eggs?

I raise all my peas but 1 from hatch and i have 15 , they all free range and are not afraid of me at all, most do eat from my hand and if i sit outside many times a group will come sit around me.

I never tried nor will i try to pet them, like most all birds they like their space and don't usually go around touching each other so i figured why would they want me touching them, to peas IMO touching "unless a bit of preening" is a sign for them to move just like in the pecking order.

I guess ya gota think like a pea, whatch how they interact with each other and in the end they just may jump up in your lap on their own, i have geese, guineas, chickens and ducks and i have birds from all those groups that do get up in my lap
"except the geese" for treats and i have never held any of them when they were comming up, i think it is a matter of trust and here that takes months.

There are folks here that have hand tamed peas but i am speaking of an entire flock here so the outcome will be different i am sure.
I would also be afraid that a peas might turn mean like some roosters do when han raised and i would hate to have to pen a bird that had been free all it's life like my roosters i would just have to cull it.

Here is an old thread that shows Peafowl eggs compared to chicken eggs. Mine lays an egg every other day once she starts laying.

I am almost opposite of you for horses... I have 2 horses and 10 minis (or small ponies, some are a little over sized for a class B). In addition I have 4 dogs, a lot of cats, 4 geese, 2 ducks, 4 guineas, 3 peas, 9 turkeys and 45 chickens.
