I was out taking pictures with a friend and asked if he would so kindly take some pictures of my chickens and me 
I am so proud of my little flock, they are all 17 weeks and beginning to lay (I got 5 little eggs today!) The first flock I helped raise was a bunch of hens and a roo, ranging from 2 years to 3 years (they are 5-6 years old now) that I share with my mom. My hubby and me decided we wanted our own flock so we set out and got 10 chicks (later acquired Bonsai the roo) and constructed our coop/run.
I feel so accomplished so far Can't wait for the years (and eggs) to come!
