We have a family of deer that bed down in our yard and every year give birth to a fawn so they are pretty used to me. One day I went to see my chickies and they came running around the corner all happy to see me with the deer right behind them. The deer stopped short just a couple feet away and I really felt like I could pet him, but I wasn't sure if that would be the right thing to do. I feel extremely lucky as well and I am happy that I was finally able to get some pictures
