Meet Sanda! Despite being over a week old he didn't look more than a few days so I had to separate him from the rest of the call ducks, and cut to a couple of days later and he's gained a fair bit of weight (he was still the size of a hatchling before now)

They're a lot different than chickens but just as fulfilling imo, they're just fun to watch grow and run around their little brooder, Sanda in particular loves to ride around in my hand or rest on my stomach (also anyone who catches the reference in his name is an mvp)

I hope it's okay if I jump in with a photo of my new kids. This was taken yesterday on their 3-week hatching day. My local family and friends are already on the "eyerolling" stage of my infatuation with these girls, so I have no one else to share my photos with.

Everyone else's cheepers are soooo adorable. I love them all!

Dad is SO handsome! I'm waiting to see if my Polish is a Mr. or a Mrs. (it was labeled 'straight run' in the bin, and I HAD to adopt it because it was all alone ) I'm kinda hoping for a Mr., but I've heard the males aren't the best protectors.

Right now, when the group startles, Peabody runs into the middle of them.
