theoldchick, I love your windows. I wish I would have thought of something like that when I was building so I wouldn't have to close mine when there is a rainstorm.

The view from my upstairs. Coop isn't yet finished with the trim and paint. Have 11 girls & 2 roos living it in right now. Will cut a gate/door into the garden for when the growing season is done.

Got a barn? This didn't take long and is made of leftovers from the new fence.

O.K. I admit, you've all outdone me. This was pretty easy and the barn has heat and water, so ha!

Mine is nothing fancy but we had an old shed on our property that is 8x16, we cut a lot of holes across the top for ventilation and then gave them a run out the front that is 20x16. We do not have a pop door, I just open the shed door every morning and they all come running out and then they put their selves to bed at 8pm and I go out and lock them in.

Here's ours. We used 1/4" hardware cloth under the entire bottom and it wraps up around the foundation boards. Used 1/2 " hardware cloth instead of chicken wire to enclose the run. Had it for a year, and nothing has gotten in. I did start free ranging them every day once they were fully grown, but on the rare occasion when they have to stay in, they have plenty of room. The run stays bone dry because of the roof, and we put in ventilation on every side of the coop, plus the ridgevent on the roof.

Here is the outside, i still need to paint it tho.
