DH and I are planning our new coop and I have seen a lot of great ideas on here but for the life of me I cant find all of posted pics...

I currently have a shed for a coop so you walk in and get rushed at by the chickens wanting to escape for free range time. I want to change this

I want to walk into my coop and have a people area and then have "stalls" for my chickens so I can seperate my silkies and my bigger chickens.

I want it to be about 10'X10" and at least 6'5" tall so dh can walk in..

so even if you dont have pics but are handy with auto cad or any other drafting program please feel free to send me your suggestions

thanks Darlene and Mike...
(you will be saving mike a lot of headaches trying to figure out what I am talking about...lol)

There are a lot of great ideas in the coop and run section. But I 'll post a couple pictures of ours because it makes my husband happy when I show off the coop he built for me and my chickens and turkeys.

Here's mine. We just finished building it this weekend from a "kit". (I was told not to EVER buy a kit again!!!) It's 10x10. I have quite a bit to do on the inside but I think plenty of room to do it (?). Maybe !!!

Visit my BYC page. I have photos of almost all of mine on there. Although we have 12 tractors and a barn with coops and a shed with several runs out of it.
Are you wanting to put runs out of separate coops inside a main building?

We built an A frame Euro type coop. I will try to post a picture. It is movable and pretty sturdy. The side doors can be lowered to rest over the chicken wire on the sides. The whole thing is easy to clean. I am having trouble posting the image - lingaitisfotos.shutterfly.com life with chickens page.

I purchased plans online at mypetchicken.com - actual cost to build was about 120.00 got everything at lowes. This was the first thing I ever built from plans by myself - I am a quilter not a carpenter and it turned out pretty well. I am building another -esp because now I know how to do it. I did all the cuts first and then assembled it.
