This is Cardboard Chicken. She arrived from Cackle Hatchery in a cardboard box like her sisters. But she arrived outside of the nesting material and crammed in a corner of the box. She had lost some chick fuzz from rubbing against the cardboard material. When I first put her with the others she staggered about, then found the food. She immediately started eating and drinking. She has a soft voice and a large body. She lays a very distinctive light brown large egg.

She's somewhere in this bunch!

She was a bit camera shy at first.

She was a little slow to grow feathers in her injured area but she finally feathered in.

But she grew into a fine hen!

My hound dog got sprayed so much with vinegar water that she smells like a salad...but she is starting to understand this chicken thing!

What's that silver thingie, Ma?

ZZzzzZZZZz....

Mommy wonders if you are a Henry or a Henrietta, my big buff baby!

And one of our little silkies is a rock star!

Hope you enjoyed some of my feathered kids' glamour shots!
