Hi I have been posting a lot lately I am hoping to get a pair of peachicks, they are white peacock x Indian blue peahen what sort of genes will the chicks have? Any advice needed!

India Blue x White will produce India Blues split to white. These will likely have a few white feather (usually at the tips of the wings or on the throat).

Pied is a different allele on the white gene... I think chicks need a copy of both the white and pied genetics to exhibit the pied pattern.

Were you looking to produce pied?

The pied stuff can be confusing... it feels like you could take white and another color and get a mix like making a marbled cake out of two different types of batter... but it's kinda it's own thing. You need a bird with the pied pattern thrown into the mix.

🎂🦚😉

Yeah, it's not like mixing paint.

I'm looking to buy a pair of these.

There is only 3 left 2 cocks and a hen one of the cocks has white on it. Which 1 should I get?

What will I get if I cross a black shoulder peacock with an Indian blue peahen?
