Pig feed?

So I was reading some FB BYC the other day and a chicken farmer said he has always fed his birds pig feed because the feed is basically the same as chicken feed. Looking to get thoughts on this school of thought.

Ive fed mine pig feed before and meat goat before they will eat it all never had a problem
