So, my pot belly pig needed the house trimed , so we set a appointment for it. When the day for the appointment came, we had him on his side and he was screaming 😱 I feel so terrible 😭. He seems traumatized 😢😔💔and I had fed him lots of treats afterwards so he wasn't feeling unloved. Just a traumatic pet story to share!

Short answer: yes.
You have to remember that pigs screaming and making a scene is one of their natural defense mechanisms. They get LOUD when they are upset.
It may be a little too late since he's already had a bad experience, but you could try working with to get him more comfortable with you handing his feet so you can do it yourself next time.
Does he like belly rubs? My girl does, and I make a point of it to touch her feet/ears etc every time she's relaxed laying down for belly rubs.
Caveat though... is your male castrated, or still a boar? If intact, I wouldn't recommend trying it this way. Hormones are very untrustworthy, and when it comes to livestock, intact males and minors do not mix. Just let a professional do the job and know that his screaming is normal.
