Do you race them? My uncle races Blue Bars. (not the fastes flyers)

Na, I don't race, there are no races here and these colours are so hard to come by I just cannot risk loosing them to predators.
I have blues in Bar, Check and velvet too, those usually get to go in the freefly loft which after 3 months will have 30 or so birds less due to hawks etc.

Is it me, or did you put a chicken egg under your capuchine in the second pic?

Yep, thats a chicken egg! I had put 3 silkie eggs in the top nest box so I wouldn' forget to put them in the bator, but I forgot about them and the pigeons decided they were going to try and hatch some silkies LOL They ended up abandoning the nest after like 2 weeks and laid their own eggs, which were also abandoned, when one was crushed. They just laid a new egg yesterday, so hopefully I'll get some pigeon babies

some of my pigeons (when I had them) succesfully hatched bantam eggs
