Pigeon hanging out in my backyard?

There may be local wildlife rehabbers that would treat the pigeon, around here there are listings online, it could be the same in your area. I would offer some water as well in a bowl that can’t be tipped over, if you have the type of cups that hang on the side of a bird cage that would be perfect. He may not drink, but it would be beneficial to add electrolytes to the water such as pedialyte in case he does.

Can I use homemade electrolytes? A man once gave me two parrot cages with all the accessories in it so yes I have a hanging water bowl. I dont have cornstarch can I use potato starch instead?

I’ve heard that salt and sugar can be added to water if you don’t have electrolytes. Make sure the water is room temperature, not cold or hot. Do you have the pigeon inside?

You might want to add a heating pad in/under half the cage so he can have extra heat if he needs it.

You might not want to transport him in this condition, especially if they probably won’t help him.

Great was gonna say you not give him oral water if crop is torn he would need dropped in the lower crop tjen stitch yhe crop and put on antibio. But hopefully his owner can and wilk help hom
