pigeon owners suggestions

We are in the process of starting up pigeon raising and I'd like opinions
on what you use for feeders and waterers.
Which do you use and what would you avoid?
Any suggestions on beginners start up items would be greatly appreciated

Wilcome to pigeon raising. i have done it for 50 years. The best waters that I have found are gallon mike juks. Cut a hole in the side and the birds will use it. I put them in a wooden frame so the birds can't bathn in them.
For feeders I use chick feeders the smal trough type with the cover off. For feed I use whole corn andany kind of poultry prllrt i can find.

We are getting white homers
The plan is down the road to start a
release business
But right now I'm concentrating on the raising and training of them
We are expecting squeakers in about a month
I have been looking at the different online pigeon suppliers and it looks like Foys have the biggest selection of training baskets and other supplies.

I wondered if the chicken feeders or waterers would work
I have been reading the suggestions for water jugs
Go for the recyle and reuse plan lol

Has anyone gone to the shows at the Sandusky fairgrounds?

I use the pop bottle waterers for mine. And they have their feed in a bowl right now, till I can get another rabbit feeder, then they will use that. But I only have 2

I just got an email from Jim Feasel (fremont pigeon club)
He said that Foys are at their shows in Jan and Sept but not at the swap in April.
He gave me an Ohio supplier Twincity poultry supplies.

I've not heard of them but I will be checking them out.
