We have a month-old gosling with a very turned in foot. It makes him/her have to waddle an extra amount when walking and running. He/she is also a lot slower and has to take rests when on the move. He/she is great in the water and loves to swim. Will it be ok and just slower all its life, or should we do something about it? Sometimes it treads on that foot with the other foot due to its angle.

It sounds like your gosling has a niacin deficiency which can happen in waterfowl youngsters, especially if they have been fed chicken starter which is what most of us can get.

I think at a month old your gosling still has time to get over this if you asap get some B complex liquid you can get it from TSC in the cattle dept it will say injectable but can be given orally to our birds. 1Ml 2X a day or go to Walmart in the vitamins and buy B Complex liquid for humans and give your gosling 3 dropper fulls daily until it's completely over it. You can drop small amounts into the mouth or put it over something tasty they really love just enough treats to get him eating it all at once. Water therapy is great too it will help rebuild muscle along with the B Complex.
