pigs eat day ild rooster?

But pigs are not the same as cattle...they are designed to eat some meat and they must have it in order to be healthy. All commercial pig food has animal protein in it. I believe most chicken food does as well.

I have heard that with chicken feed but that is all they get from me here on our farm....is their designed feed, grains, and hay.

I don't give raw or cooked meat we eat to them.

Well I am trying to use what we have at home, on top of pig specific grain from feed store. So at home when the kids leave a half a bowl of cereal and milk I put it in the freezer for later pig use. When nobody finishes my cooking and it sits for days in the fridge... the hogs get it. The majority of what they are eating is grass and shrubs however. I am using them to till(sp?) my soil for a garden and to clear a couple of forested acres. Then they will be freezer packaged before Christmas. Here tonight at the fire house we are starting to collect leftovers from each meal. So when I leave here in 2 days, they will have left over; egg rolls, rice, carrots, green beans, pork fried rice (twisted I know), chicken wings, chicken breast, bread, bagels and god knows what else. The guys all feel good not wasting food and it saves me in grain costs. Much of the same foods are found in pellet form in the grain I buy for $13.88/50lbss
