Pilgrim females?

Mine were 5 weeks on Saturday. They seem to change overnight, it’s crazy. They are huge. I still haven’t gotten a belly pic, but this was from earlier today and I think these are the biggest of the 5. Mine have been free ranging for the last couple of weeks. We have a 3 acre pond with 10 ducks (they’re not sure about each other yet). We have enough room for them to have their own space and I’m at home most of the time.

They do look very feathered in your newest pic. And they look just like mine! Mine must be growing well then. I weighed them yesterday and they weigh just over 6 pounds. I cannot believe they are going to double in size still! I feel much better about letting mine free range now. Thank you! I was really worried it was too soon and that a hawk would recognize them as babies even though they are huge.

Just shy of 7 weeks. You can see in the first pic that Lola (still unsure if sex of any of them) has hurt her right foot quite badly. We keep her penned up when we can’t supervise because the chickens have attacked her twice We’re really hoping she gets better and the foot heals. She puts a bit more weight on it every day.

Lucky Duck still thinks she’s a goose. They are amazing! So much personality and I hope they stay that way…I have a couple broody ducks right now and they are mean!!

So adorable! They still look exactly like my Pilgrims. I once sent feather samples of my baby chicks to www.iqbirdtesting.com to find out if they were male or female. I’m not one that is patient enough to wait for an egg or a cock-a-doodle-do! It looks like the price has gone up to $16 each, but it’s still worth it if you have to know!
