Here I was thinking I had gone overboard with the images
We have been gradually introducing the goslings to the rest of our flock (if we have to, we can seperate them in the future, but our chickens and muscovy's live happily together).
As Midnight (mum moscovy) has been unkeen to let the goslings anywhere near her babies (who could blame her, they are giant ducklings
), we decided to pull some of the ducklings out with mum in the pen for a few minutes.
The social outing didn't exactly work at first
As you can see, there was an unwritten rule between duckling and gosling, goslings own the North side of the hose and ducklings own the south side
So we let Midnight out and tried again. After a while they ended up comming together for a short time
Midnight was a bit guarded, but they all had a bit of interaction.
@Camotracey They are so adorable if they are pilgrim looks like you have 1 gander and the rest female. It sure will be interesting to see how this comes out..
If your being observant, you may notice there was originally 13 and now only 11, fear not, although Midnight wasn't happy, 2 ducklings have found a new home with family and will be having a very spoiled life.
