I think we are at day 5 since they came home (comparing them to the mascovy ducklings, it is amazing how fast these goslings grow (I will try to get a picture of the goslings near the ducklings soon).

Nice warm day today, so they had a nice bath, didn't have the camera on me unfortunately, but they were having fun ducking their heads and torpedoing across the water trough

.

Then it was out in the sun to dry off and eat some clover, you can probably tell the ones that were torpedoing, look for the ones that look like drowned rats

.

Managed to track down some brewers yeast (in a health food store), thanks again for letting me know about this. The shopkeeper asked me if I was making cookies, he gave me a strange look when I said "no it's for my goslings" (I think I was well on the way to winning weirdest customer of the day). The little one is still lagging in size, but is really getting stuck into the food now, so I think that is a good sign (and hopefully will mean it gets the yeast too).

Cheers,

Cameron

I'm loving the pictures and updates! They are precious! Thanks for sharing them with us. :love

This afternoon was all about meeting the family

But firstly some focus on making sure the small one is getting some of that Brewers yeast (it has become a piggy since this morning, which is hopefully a good sign, even going for grass and not just clover)

Firstly our labrador Storm, he is getting on in age now, but he has always been good with our ducks (all he wants in return is the occasional egg)

1000

Next up we took them over to Midnight (our mother mascovy and her ducklings, there is a week between the goslings and ducklings, but boy what a difference in size)

1000

Mum is not impressed and has a go at the big gosling who is getting too close

1000

To our surprise instead of backing off, it gives her a mouthful

1000

The day ends as every other with a group snuggle

Your pictures are amazing, you capture the lives of your animals so well. I love them all and the pic with Storm and the gosling should be in a frame. I also love the one where the gosling is mouthing off to mama Muscovy, shows how big their personality is even at that age. The little one sure looks good and hopefully the brewers yeast will take care of the leg weakness too. Thanks so much for sharing them all with us.. Those lil Muscovy ducklings are precious too of course my fav ducks.

@Camotracey Lovely pictures and video. Your flocks are just beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing these, I felt like I was there! Loved the muscovy introduction also, they are such good mommas. And the lil feisty gosling talking back, goodness how true! Your sweet old fella Storm really touched my heart.

I'm going to need a bigger water bucket

Another warm day, so started out with a swim.

This is them in the same container 6 days ago

At the end I took the others out and let the little one get a bit of free time, seems to be back on track, getting around much better and really eating to catch up, but the biggest lighter couloured one looks like a giant now compared to the small one.

Cheers,

Camo
