Day 27. Two of my eggs seem to be right on target. The air cells have dipped nicely, and I see shadowing and movement inside - though they don't yet appear to have pipped internally. I've stopped turning and can see occasional slight rocking of both eggs. The third egg seems to have stalled. There hasn't been the same degree of dip down (quite a bit less), and the weight loss hasn't quite kept pace with the others. On candling I still notice some slight movement, but this one seems a good deal less vigorous to me. Sigh. I will be happy when this hatch is over! Wish us luck!

The 3rd egg maybe lagging behind, just had a batch of Toulouse eggs from the same parents all set at the same time and 2 of them were 30 hours behind the others!

Sounds like eggs 1 and 2 will be internally pipping soon

I have another question for you. I only have one incubator, and I took it off the turner because I felt I had to go with the two that were further along. Should I keep turning the third egg by hand, though it will mean going into the incubator more often?

Well, my first goose hatch is done! We have two adorable, and surprisingly energetic pilgrim goslings! The third gosling did not survive, as it turned out to have very serious malformations. It's brain was exposed, it's beak was malformed, and it had not developed any eyes at all. Poor little baby, it made it all the way through to day 30 but never stood a chance with those defects. BUT, the other two are amazing. We've all fallen in love with them. Here are a few pics (I'm assuming, from what I've read that these are both boys - but please, someone feel free to tell me I'm wrong

).
