we went to Rurl King and got these shreaded corncob and they're too big to be a choking hazard to the chicks. and im so sorry about your chick
i hope the others wont do the same thing. And something else you can do for the chicks, is get them some little cat toy balls with the little bells in them (the chicks LOVE playing with those) i guess because it makes a pretty little jingley sound, idk. But i hope things with your babiez go good. Good Luck
