Hi there,
I checked the chicken treat chart and there was no mention of pineapple anywhere. Is it ok to feed fresh pineapple as treats?

It's okay to feed them pineapple, just avoid citrus fruits and any green on the actual pineapple. My chickens picked at a slice a little but didn't show much interest.

what's wrong with citrus fruits? my rooster loves oranges and canned mandarin oranges

Generally, they just won't eat citrus. If yours do, then there you go. Mine will scarf down some pineapple.

I figured that they would keep the sweet potato vines trimmed back where they grow through the garden fence. We can eat sweet potato leaves, but the chickens ignore them.

It is interesting how high chickens can jump to eat elderberries off the tree.
