Just curious, why do you think this one is a pullet with a hormonal imbalance and not just a slow developing cockerel like the other? There are male saddle feathers…
Here's some masculine looking Saddles on one of my project Mini American Gamefowl pullet chicks.

I don't know where you heard that, but it's not true.

If a rooster eats an egg(s), it's because he's not getting enough protein. A rooster typically will not eat oyster shells because he doesn't need them since he doesn't lay eggs. They may eat alittle if they're low in bone calcium, but they don't gorge on it.

maybe i was just confused but thank you for your help

How do you know for sure if it's a cockerel or just shedding because to me it looks the same as a cockerel. I want to know so i can identify the gender of my rir austrolop mix chicks. I don't want to accidentally get rid of hens
If you can get better pictures of your questionable birds, it maybe easier for us to help you identify.

Also shredding is only seen in lavender birds.

That was a good response you got. What the person was saying is that Layer feed has extra calcium in the food. Layer feed is not good for roosters, cockerels, or females that aren't laying. You can't pick the calcium out of the feed.

All Flock feed doesn't have extra calcium in it so you would provide a separate dish of oyster shell. This will mean the laying hens will be able to grab what they need but the males can avoid it.
