We have 5 chickens and today found 4 eggs for the first time! We've been getting 1-2 daily and they've looked the same so far. Small and tan. Today we had two small tan ones, a darker brown one with speckles, and one that looks pink?! For science - we have two silver laced Wyandottes (I know for sure one of them was our first layer), one buff orpington, and two easter Eggers. So if that is a pink egg it's likely the Easter egger?! Or if it's just a super light tan then it could be our buff and an Easter egger is laying brown Does that look like a pink egg to anyone?

Not my Easter Egger. My sienna stars do and my BJG lays one but with a purple hue almost. I think sometimes the bloom affects the color. I wish my EE would lay! It’s been 7 months! I have a friend who EE lays one that looks similar.. at least through pictures

Oh interesting! A purple hue would be awesome! My easter eggers are about 7 months too - it definitely took them the longest to start laying! I hope my last easter Egger lays green eggs

Always wanted a green egg. All the other new ladies are going. I do love seeing all the unique colors. I had to catch some in the act to figure out whos is whos. That’s how I found out that teeny tiny purple-ish brownish egg is from the jersey giant

I too get an egg with a purple hue, its from a BA/EE (75/25) mix. Folks have said "thats the pinkest egg I have ever seen"!
I also get pink (very light tan) from one of the EEs, or as I call them Rainbow Eggers as I cannot predict egg color.
4 eggs from 5 girls, it is most likely from an EE, however I have a girl that lays 2-3 eggs a day (not an EE). When you break it open look at the shell inside, if it is also pink it came from an EE. However it does not have to be a colored shell, as they too can lay a white painted shell. Gotta luv EEs!
