Good, because I REALLY do! They were never intended for meat purposes, but the first time I took one to the vet I realized how deep I had fallen for themIt's ok to LOVE your chickens. It really is!
Is it just the cockerel? Pink feet at that age means he's ready to mate. I see that on cockerels and some adult roosters in all weather. I don't remember seeing it on pullets or hens but maybe I was just not looking.
I've read that if they live in wet, a really wet coop and/or run, their feet can turn pink but I've never seen that. Another reason a wet coop/run is unhealthy.
