Pinkish Coloring On Legs And Feet Of Buff Orphington?

I dont have a pic of it but I noticed this weekend one of my buff orphingtons has a little pinkish coloring on certain areas of the legs and feet anyone ever hear or see this what is it?

I've had bluff hens that get some pink in their leg coloring. Roosters is usually streaking red up and down the legs and as Katy says it's the male hormones kicking in.
 
It's a roo thing. The hens, as they lay begin to loose coloring/pale in various parts of their anatomy as they lay more eggs; one of those anatomic parts is the leg; the others are something like their ears, waddles, combs, etc. The roos, however, get a pink/red tint to their legs when they are of breeding age and keep this as long as they are breeding.
