Nice looking rooster! I have one in that color pattern was wondering what he would look like mature

He is healthy sized for sure. Next year I will leave my rainbows for 16 weeks instead of 14. This last 2 weeks the breeding group I kept back really blew up

My rainbows (more or less the same breed, different hatchery) are 17 or 18 weeks i think and i am starting to get a few little pullet eggs

My rainbow (again essentially same breed) started laying at week 19. She's also one of my most reliable layers. Consistently 5-6 darkish brown large eggs a week

OMG yes! And she makes my RIR and my BR look so little

Sounds great I'm @ 12 weeks with this bunch so won't be long

Check Hoovers hatchery. They have red rangers which are the same/similar. Also look at their rainbows I prefer them as an alternative broiler over pioneer/red Rangers

I like them because they dress the same but are good dual purpose. We kept back a breeding group last year and hatched a bunch. The next generation put up large cockerels and good pullets. Nobody could tell me if they are a true hybrid or breed true but in my experience they breed true.
