When would you help? Easter egger pipped wrong end over 24 hours ago. I pulled the shell yesterday and got her some air. I can see her beak and it’s moving and yawning still. One egg has hatched and a second will be hatched in the next hour... when should I help her more??

If it doesn't start making more progress soon, I would start chipping the shell off. You can pause occasionally to see if the chick will start getting itself out, but if not, just go ahead and do a full assist. Watch out for veins, their are lots of them on that end of the shell. If you hit one and it starts bleeding, press a paper towel against it till it stops.

If it’s still yawning- leave it alone. If they chicks pip wrong end, then it takes twice as long to hatch. If it’s starts peeping likes it’s in distress and looks like it’s pushing to get out, then you can help. I would wait until tomorrow morning before you even start to try and assist.

^ what FeatherTay said!

When they pip the wrong end, they did both internal and external pips at once. So you should factor in an extra day for the internal pip time too :)

Just keep an eye on it for another day. usually they will hatch out just fine on their own.

I've had a few ducklings pip the wrong end, and if they didn't get out within 24 hours, they were stuck. You still could wait, just be careful.
They could very well be true. However, chicks take around 24 hours to external pip after internally pipping. And after an external pip, it could take 24 hours to zip. Since the chick didn’t get a chance to internally pip, it would take twice as long. That’s how it’s been in my experience. Had one pip during the night of the 14, didnt hatch till the morning of the 16th. No assistance.

I see, I have left them before though, and they couldn't get out, so now I just help them. But maybe it would be best to wait a while.
