pip?

i know it was pipped at 4 but i assum that it had piped around 3 something would you suggest waiting till at least 4 since thats when i noticed the pip?

I would give it a good 24 hours from pip. But if the other chicks are helping it....try for a barrier of some sort or remove them if they are dry

they arent dry yet. i took a small strip of paper towel and moistened it with warm water and put it around the exposed membrain leaving the pip whole uncovered. the others have seemed to have stopped messing with it and falling asleep. humidity was at 82% when i did that so it didnt drop but to 75%.

Im just learning all this myself, and really don't know what is a good period to wait before helping.
It's really what you are comfortable with.

If it were me I'd judge a little, part by how long it's been and how the chick is acting, and try to wait for the 24 hr mark.

its very lively but it looks like its pecking at the membrain itself which makes me think that the membrain has dried to much and it cant do anything
