Pip

can anyone describe what an internal pip looks like so I know when it happens. Thanks!
Well, you really shouldn't know when it happens (unless you hear the chick chirping inside the egg) because you need to candle to see it and during lockdown/hatch that's taboo.....(unless your hatch is late and you are checking for viability) but SallySunshine has a good video on the assisted hatching page with a silkie that has internally pipped, here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/step-by-step-guide-to-assisted-hatching. The external pip is what you should be seeing and that is a crack/pushed out hole in the shell.
