pipe bomb at the school this morning

wow..they found a bomb at the jr high..they evacuated the high school and elementary since they are all part of the same complex..so sad to see this happen. that kid better be glad im not his mom!!!

pfff..it wasnt a bomb at all, it was a piece of pipe! so thankful but i do have to wonder..i am in sapulpa.

a couple years ago, they evacuated everyone because of a "school shooting" and come to find out 2 guys were shooting a trash can with a pellet gun and it grazed someones arm that was driving by..but you know, its better to be safe than sorry!!!

Some years ago a few local kids thought it was cool to fool with around with pipe bombs. The bigger the better. I guess they had a lot of fun until they managed to blow themselves up. Their friends knew what they were up to but the parents didn't have a clue.

We had a moron put one of those against the portable building that was my English/History class in 9th grade. That was as far as possible from the stadium, and set off during a game, so they were lucky anyone even heard it.

Made a 3' or so hole, he was locked up, end of drama.

I'm just thankful he set it off when the school was empty, since it was only about 2' from my desk that the hole was.

That was in W'ford... ohhh 1995-96...

We had a bomb threat or three in Arlington schools too... everybody out... turned out to be a joke, but better safe than sorry.

Glad to hear that none of yours were hurt, and I hope they lock that moron up... no pleas, no OhPoorMe it isn't my fault... he could have killed, multiple people, innocent bystanders... charge him with domestic terrorism and throw away the key... maybe it'll stop future morons from thinking crap like this is a good idea.

yeah...What is wrong with kids?????? At my school we had hand sanitizer in water bottles but this takes the cake!

Their families are under terrible stress and either overworked, or not working at all.
Their environment is a mess.
Their government is a mess.
Their economy is a mess. (Don't kid yourself that they don't know that!)
Their religions even have scandals.

The media offers them sex and drugs as a panacea for all of the above.



What do they see succeed? Greed and corruption.
What do they see fail? Hard work and honesty.



The ones I talk to sound old and tired by high school. They are out of heroes and out of hope.

The question is: what are we going to do about it?
