I have read the sticky on intervening...but still have questions. I have an egg that has been pipped for at least 7 hours. It has made no progress & the exposed membrance is VERY white. I did the dry hatch method, right now humidity is at 60% (with all wells full & 2 sanitary pads soaked). Is the chick stuck to the membrane?? Should I moisten the exposed membrane or just let it be?

How many more need to hatch... if you open the bator you may compromise the others.

In my hovabator I had a tube that I could use to inject a tiny bit of water in.

I'd give it another 5-7 hours and then intervene.

There are still 20 to hatch. I can see its beak, it just opens and closes, no attempt to break out. It has very faint peeping. I wonder if I can get a tube in through one of the ventilation holes and add some more water....thanks for the idea!

I got some water in through the vent holes using a straw. The humidity is now at 76%. Hopefully that will help the little guy.
