Pipped wrong end.

Nice work. I had a small hatch recently in which 5 of the 6 had pipped at the wrong end. It was such a pain! I finally helped all 5 out, and they're happy and healthy little chicks now. But it was not fun helping all of them out. I think I had not turned them frequently enough when they were first developing. Lesson learned!

Just for future reference, when I first started hatching a wise BYC member told me that if your chick pips the wrong end it can take up to 48 hours for it to hatch..

hatched normally the chick will pip into the aircell, there it will rest for up to 24 hours absorbing the remaining yolk sack, it then will pip the outside shell and sit for up to another 24 hours while the blood vessels dry out and any remaining yolk sack is absorbed. In following this BYCers advice I have yet lost or had to help a wrong way chick :)
