Pipping chick been like this for 2 hours

Do you have any idea why this may have happened?

If the humidity wasn't high enough, or if the bator was opened the chick could be stuck so that it cannot turn and zip.

She is chirping loudly. I'm peeling shell of a tiny bit at a time. Haven't hit blood yet. She seems so smushed!

Head is out. Eyes are open. No bleeding. Waiting two hours then continuing with the assistance.

Ever heard the phrase, "a watched pot never boils"? I found this is very much true for chickens too in my recent hatch.
All three of my chickens pipped, and I checked on them every few minutes, but they never made any progress.
I finally went to sleep, and when I woke up, I had three new chicks!
Just be patient, it will come, some hatch quickly while other may take an entire day.

Great to hear! I would leave her in the bator til she dries off and fluffs out.

She puffed out and is in the brooder. She gets really cranky when I leave!

Chicks really do not like being alone. How are the other eggs progressing?
