whats the longest you've gone between the pip and them doing anything else? its been 5 hours since pip and its just napping or something

with an occasional chirp to let me know its still alive (thank goodness).

i've got one right now that pipped last night, so it's been almost 24 hours. it keeps sticking its little beak out and chirping, but seems to be content staying in its egg right now. its sibling just pipped and hatched before i even knew what was happening so... lol!

not unusual, ideally for us it is nice when they just take a couple hours but i've had them go from 2 hours to 24....
don't worry, it seems alot longer than it actually is... especially when you got your nose pressed up against the bator...

I check every hour or so (dont want to miss my first chick hatching LOL). The egg was rocking all day yesterday so I figured when he pipped it wouldnt be long seeing as how he was so energetic

One of mine took almost 20 hours before it hatched after pipping. It was pipping yesterday at 11am and didn't hatch until 3pm today.

I know how you feel. that was my first incubator hatch and i was checking it every 10 minutes. It will come but its like they know when you have gone to bed cause they all start to hatch. lol
