Hi everyone,

I put my eggs into lockdown on Saturday night, but we realised our humidity gauge wasn't working so we bought a new one and replaced.
One egg has pipped today at around 5pm and one egg hasn't stopped moving since Saturday morning, the poor little thing is desperately trying to get out. Should I intervene? I worry opening the incubator will stop the others from hatching but knowing I could help this little guy/girl breaks my heart! Please help

I know some people say not to open the incubator but if you do it quickly the rest should be okay. Just make sure they don’t dry out and you should be fine. If they are pipped and you open the incubator you do run a chance of losing them. You could spray the eggs that are pipped with a tiny little bit of water when you open the incubator first but I can’t promise anything. You just need to do a small hole though for the one needing help and keep an eye on him from there. Good luck to you. Hope it goes well which ever way you chose to go :fl

We have seem this morning that the one needing help has pipped. Two out of 6 are now pipped but no progression, hoping they progress during today as worry we will need to intervene.

Our humidity is dropping to 68, should I top up but spray the eggs that have pipped?
