After reading a bit about putting eggs in cut-off egg cartons during lockdown vs. laying on sides I chose to use the cartons. I've three eggs starting to pip, one showing his beak. He seems to be upside down. Should I put the eggs on their sides or keep them straight up? This is my second time ever incubating eggs.

my experience is to put them in the egg carton round side up ... .didn't have any problems .....G best to leave them be if you put them in right,,,,,,,do not open the incubator....do not open... thats what they say....

I incubated mine in egg cartons but I took them out and put them on their sides on day 19. They zip about a third of the way around the egg then push it open. I think it is easier for them if the egg is laying on it's side....otherwise seems like they would be fighting gravity to get out of the egg.
