Hopefully one day i can leave it up to the hen too. LolMy first hatch was about 5 years ago.....AND I get a hen to do it for me - but I still can't relax.
Enjoy your hatching, and ~try~ not to worry too much.
I'm sure there will be life soon.
I posted a pic, not sure if my replies are going with the comments, im still figuring this out lolI wouldn't be worrying at this stage.
Photos would help though as its kind of hard to tell where you mean the pip is.
Chicks do pip at the pointy end. And they do fine.
Looks perfectly fine and normal.
I have a hen on 12 eggs now.. on day four...Hopefully one day i can leave it up to the hen too. Lol
Yes it is a longer egg, ive just had one hatch (the olive colored one ) now the egg is turned and the new baby is laying on it , is this okIt's kind of hard to tell which end that is.
That looks like a very long shaped egg.
It looks like it's pipped the more rounded end. Is that correct? If so, that's fine.
Keep him in the bator and see how he does.
Good luck happy hatchingI have a hen on 12 eggs now.. on day four...
