Pipping on the wrong end!

Leave it alone. Since he didn't go into the air cell he probably pipped early to get air. The rest are probably in the air cells absorbing yolk and taking a break before they finish pipping. That one may need more time in the egg than usual after pipping to finish absorbing the yolk.

Thanks Akane! You are probably right! I have not seen any signs of pips from the other 6 eggs. They are probably in the correct position and will pip when they are darn good and ready!

Hey all! The little chick who pipped at the wrong end finally hatched out OK after being pipped for about 24+ hours!! I was losing hope, but he/she came through! I woke up to 4 little Silkies in the bator this morning!

I am going through the same situation. Reading this really helped! Makes sense about needing to pip early for air but not being ready to come out. Thanks!
