Pipping, Zipping, Hatching - An Educational Photo Series (Image Heavy)

Thanks. I can't believe how addicting this whole thing is. We have had horses born on our little farm before but this really has gotten to me. I must check on those eggs 10 times a day. Trying not to get my hopes up too much as these are all shipped eggs and our first attempt.

I TOTALLY understand!! I am the same way! It's even worse when you make your own incubator. Then you want to check even more just to make sure you can build a bator properly.


ETA, TennesseeTruly, CONGRATS on your baby chickies! And the hatching of the cracked shell egg!! That's great!

I had my first complete hatch in a hovabator. These guys spent their first 18 days in my fridge bator and went into the hovabator for hatch.

As long as shipping wasn't too rough, you should probably get a decent hatch rate.
