Pippin's flock- stories, pictures and updates 🐣

Oh no!! Well my girls are just about over their case of fowl pox, which evidently is going like wildfire around here. Of course i feel super guilty because they weren't outside even one month and already got ill! Looks like Minnie and Elsa are done with it, Daisy has a few black spots still on her comb, but its looking better. I wasn't able to give Esmeralda a spa bath (she is just not into being handled like my small girls are), so i don't see anything on her, but not entirely sure. The pox is spread by direct contact, and by mosquitoes!! 🦟 🦟 🦟 🦟 🦟 Which there were a ton of when we first arrived. Hopefully that's our only illness for a while.

It's bird covid- Avian flu :hit:duc

This is Thor's brooder. Though she spends most of her time on my bed. Whenever I'm in my room I let her out and she roams around. When I'm watching TV in the living room, she's there too.

Okay Thor kept on moving, but I did it! She's such a pretty princess (looking female, right?) She's smaller than her outdoor siblings, but she's having a much better life in the house.
I'm so excited to have her for christmas, she got her presents already- a better, happier life and a 3 litre tub of her favourite food: DRIED MEALWORMS!
Maybe I'll get her a little present and wrap it up for christmas
