Yes!! Elsa is a bantam cochin also!! She is gorgeous, but i won't get another cochin the territorial behavior is too much for me.

There's still hay in the top box (no one's ever been/pooped up there before so it's always had the same hay). The floor bedding is hemp!

It looks very nice and clean!! Can you sift the hemp, or do you do deep litter, or just exchange it all out?

I heard they were so sweet, which is why i got her. Well.. she is sweet, to me. She loves sitting in my lap and sleeping while i pet her. But she is so mean to the other chickens.

Here’s mine.. she hates me walking near her but once I pick here up she’s Mrs.best behaved until she looks into your eyes and tries to peck them out

I honestly have heard of my same experience with other bantams that are black or derived from black (blue, splash). Mine is a gorgeous splash..
