I have a total of 7 eggs at lockdown. 4 pips, 2 shaking quite a bit, lots of chirping, and 1 has not moved. It has been over 12 hours and no attempt to zip. I wonder if they are stuck in their shells? I thought I ran high with the humidity the 1st 18(45-55%) and 75% at lockdown. Is this normal? The ones that have pipped keep pecking out the same hole. should I try something? at what point do I help?

It's not uncommon to have pips for 24 hours prior to all the zipping... I wouldn't dare try to help right now.

lower the humidity to between 60 & 65%, take the family out to dinner & a movie. DO NOT CHECK THE BATOR WHEN YOU GET HOME, just go to bed. Cook the family a nice breakfast in the morning, then show the family your baby chicks.

am curious...why do you lower the humidity if they're not coming out quickly? Humidity is very puzzling to me...
