The sweetgrass would be your best bet for Thanksgiving. The palms all have a very small breast. I got some sweetgrass eggs from Kevin last fall and I just hatched my first poults from them this weekend!

Here is a pic of the SG's. Not a good pic but you get the idea! I don't have a pic of my CP but you wouldn't want to see him right now anyway. He only has about a 1/4 of his fan and looks pethetic! He was a late fall hatch and hasn't got all his cool feathers yet.
This is a trio and I have had 100% fertillity so far and 100% hatch.
I like the sweetgrass better. The palms just don't have enough meat on them but if you don't plan on eating any, then I guess it's what you like the looks of. I only have the 1 CP tom. I got 7 late season eggs from porter and only 1 hatched. A price you pay for getting late season eggs shipped from IN to TX in late July with 100+ temps!
I did not have good luck with my turkey order from porter last year. I usualy have no problem brooding turkeys even from shipped poults. I must have got a bad batch. I had a very large order shipped late in the year. They dropped like flies until 90% where dead. I heard others had the same problem as I did. I do have the pencled red and pencled blue palms, and the sweetgrass. I don't know if you want to see them? They are not as nice as the pictures on his site, however.

Those late season shipped poults do not handle the travel very well. I'm sorry you had a bad experience. I'm sure the poults were healthy before shipping but it can be rough on them. Not trying to defend anybody or say anybody was at wrong but that happen sometimes. Some of the showier turkeys don't get that full color until their second to third year. You can see my sweetgrass from him and they look just like the ones on the website except for the crappie pic taken in my dark barn with a cheap point and shoot. lol
