Hi, i just got an automated recording from my power Co saying they will turn our power off from 11pm to 5am June 4th, 2015. I do not have a generator.
How can i keep my eggs warm in my incubator during this power outage? I have been gathering eggs for the past 3 days, i have not set them yet! Maybe i should just wait until after June 4th? And start collecting all over again? Any suggestions?

You really need answers more than a "welcome". I think it would be best all around, if you wait till after the power has been restored. to set new eggs. I don't know what your resources would be to keep the eggs warm enough in the interim., or if you are living in a warm climate. You might want to check out the incubation and hatching threads on BYC (put that in search box) so you get off to a good start.

Welcome to Backyard chickens, and we are glad you joined the flock.

Thank you for t/reply & suggestions. Our low temps have been about 60-65° inside our home (w/o heat on). I thnk i will just wait until after the power outage & rcollect eggs & then incubate. Thanks agin for the help & for t/welcome.

I'm pretty sure you can store eggs for a week or so before setting as long as they are kept cool but not cold (though I'm sure I've read on here someone managed to hatch an egg that had frozen!
