My family is moving and we have doubled our flock. I am scheming a new coop set up. I would like it to work for 25 birds. I am handy but very very busy so building completely from scratch is not likely.

We live in Colorado, so brutal cold, snow, heat are all the norm.

I’m thinking of a shed conversion with a nice big walk in run.

I would love ideas.

I was going to suggest a shed conversion when I clicked on your post. A current shed will need additional ventilation installed. Permanent ventilation, needs to be up high at the roof line. Additional summer ventilation needs to be where a breeze would cool off your chickens. A couple of windows will serve that purpose. Provide daylight, and closed in winter, opened, and secured with hardware cloth during summer.
Sheds can often be available used from peeps that no longer want them. You would need to disassemble into large panel size pieces, and reassemble back at home site. Moving a complete shed on a trailer,,,, can be done,, but can get complicated. Weight,,,, size,,(width) and height have to be taken into consideration moving on roadway.

WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and :welcome
