Plant ID signs

Good ideas here. I use the Elmer's painters pen, and the plastic tags from last year haven't lost any paint. Had to get a new paint pen this year, though, as mine didn't make it through the winter.

Stones and a dremmel tool with a diamond tip?

I used permanent markers on stones last year and the names disappeared in just a few months. So recently got out the dremmel with a relatively inexpensive diamond tip attachment and etched the names in the stones. It took only a few minutes to accomplish. Works best if someone can help and keep spraying water on the tip.

Good idea. I was thinking the same sort of thing, but with metal plates instead of stones. I have a lot of stainless plate and that was my plan, if I ever find the time.
