I use it just like spinach. Most of the time I just blanch it, chop and toss with a tiny bit of salt and sesame oil, butter or olive oil. It's good in spinach pasta dishes too. Use it to replace spinach in anything. I just pick the leaves off and let the rest of the plant keep growing. The stems are usually tough.

Have you used the seeds before? I've heard and seen ppl use them in like a stir fry dish but I don't know of anyone that's tried it
